Just finished cutting my wondow sections out of 40 gauge O'Sea, and on our old canvas, they used the window material as straps to hold rolled up windows.  Is this safe to do?  I was wondering if it would tend to scratch the windows.  Maybe I should use webbing?  Thanks!
