I was given a cover for a pontoon boat to repair a rip (8', entire width).  The material appears to be Gore-tex but I didn't thing Gore-tex was strong enough to use as a cover.  Are covers make from Gore-tex or is there a fabric simular in looks and feel that is used.

Thanks,

Ron

Hi Ron, It is very unlikely that the material is Gortex. Most pontoon cover material is either Sunbrella, SurLast, Odyssey III, or marine treated duck.

Thanks, Matt

Thanks Matt,

It was Odyssey III.  It does have the same feel as the Gortex our foul weather gear in Kuwait and Iraq was made of.  Thanks for replying.  Also wanting to get several of the CDs but the sale went of so I need to wait.

Thanks,   Ron
