The 2011 Marine Fabricators Association Marine Fabric Guide documents the important characteristics of marine fabric in tabular format. This is a very handy way to compare different canvas options.

Sunbrella does offer a variety of Sunbrella brand acrylic fabrics. Some are indeed lighter denier constructions. In general these would be what we refer to as "Furniture Fabric" lines. Most of these are about 6 oz. per yard.

Hello,

here is a link to the Marine Grade Sunbrella.  All of these choices are 9.25 oz. per yard.

If you have any questions about fabric selection, give us a call at 1-800-348-2769.

Have a great day!

Hi, I'm getting ready to make a cockpit cover, I have some samples of Sunbrella but they feel thin, are there different weights?
