Pick at the corner and peel them off. There will be left over adhesive and you can use 3M adhesive remover to clean it from the sailcloth:

I would like to change the numbers on a mylar sail.  What is the best way to remove the old numbers and adhesive?  First thought is just pick at a corner and peel them off…
