What is a rough rule of thumb for general canvas work as far as amount of thread need for a given number of yards of fabric.  In other words, if I had a project that involved 10 yrs of fabric, how many yards of thread would be required.  I understand that different project of the same yardage may require different amounts, but I'd still like a general rule.

Hi, A very general rule of thumb is 1 ounces of thread per ten yards of fabric. Thanks, Matt with Sailrite
