When working with Sunbrella:
Is the warp (running the length of the bolt of fabric)
the strongest direction for strain and pull?

Sunbrella seems visually confusing on close
examination...the grains of the weft running
widthwise are the ones more apparent. Would it be
better to place strain across the fabric along the
weft?

thanks,

Hi, It does not really matter so long as you understand that the warp and weft are the directions of the least stretch and also the strongest. Theoretically the Weft would be less stretch resistant as the yarns can be tensioned better over this shorter distance (the width of the roll) during looming.

Thanks, Matt
