I have purchased sail numbers and laid them on nylon spinnaker material to act as weather cloths.  Need I sew them on or are they OK and can withstand the shaking...to Bermuda.

Thanks in advance!

They should stay in place for years! No need to sew sail numbers unless they are placed on a course canvas like Sunbrella and, even there, they adhere quite well.

Hi, I purchased a new asym spinnaker on eBay, never used, but with inked-on numbers in black across the three colors of its design.

I was considering purchasing a yard of each color and using spray adhesive to cover each number.

Would you recommend that approach, or do you think the ink would bleed through the glue and onto the new fabric, and still be visible...
