Can you recommend options outside of Sunbrella for an outdoor patio umbrella / tent canopy?

I am looking for a more cost effective option than Sunbrella.

Thank you for your assistance!

Sunbrella is really the best but you could use Maritime (a cotton/poly duck) if you don't mind gray. The other alternative would be SurLast which is a solution dyed polyester.

In December 2011 Practical Sailor reviewed a few marine fabrics. You'd have to pay for the review but Matt's recommendation seems to be in line with Practical Sailor's article.

I have the the issue with the five-pave review and briefly, although Sunbrella seemed a bit more expensive, Sunbrella "has better visible-light stopping quality " and "most do-it-yourself sewers will rightly navigate toward Sunbrella's excellent sewability characteristics."
