A quick, easy equestion - what size needle and what thread should I use for vinyl seats?  I've been using v-92 thread and a #18 (I think) needle to sew sunbrella.  My son just bought a boat that needs the oudoor vinyl seats restitched and I want to make sure I use the right material.

If it matters it's for an LS-1 machine.

Thanks

Jeff

Hello Jeff,
you can use the V92 with the #18 needle or V69 with a #16 needle.  Both will work very well.
Cheers,

Thanks Matt

I was worried that the #18 needle would punch too big of a hole in the material.

#16 to #18 is fine for marine vinyl seating :)
