Does anyone have any experience sewing this material without binding or any other material in between?
What would be the best type/brand of machine, type of needle, thread etc. Any other input, other than what i asked, would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul,
I have sewn lots of Phifertex and it does not require any seam filler. Just make the seams about 1" wide of the standard overlapping nature. Use V-92 Polyester thread and a #18 or #20 needle. You want an Ultrafeed Sewing Machine of course :) |

Thanks Matt!
How about the demands of making 1000 of these per year with the Ultrafeed? http://www.anchor-caddie.com/products/anchor-rope-bag Or would the Big-N-Tall Long Arm be a better choice? Thanks, Paul

Sailrite 111 or Big-N-Tall would make sense for that useage. The Ultrafeed can do it but you are doing enough volume that you will want the larger bobbin capacity of one of the two larger straight stitch machines.
