I am trying to decide how to pay employees? I have ruled out hourly pay, and am leaning toward a percentage per job. I'm thinking 10-15% of labor, not profit or materials, on jobs they complete from start to finish. I want to have room to give raises accordingly. Is this a fair starting rate? what works or doesnt in other shops? thank you in advance for your time and input.
