This hatch cover is tricky. It must stay on when the hatch is opened, and there's no way to secure it while trying to fit up nice and snug and pin the darts. We snapped it to the deck after the hinges and that is sort of OK. But of course we can't fit it inside out that way, as suggested in The Book. We'll have to top stitch the darts.

But now that it's probably too late, it occurred to me that we might have used a track instead of two snaps. Anybody tried that?
