I need some help here....  My LSZ1 sews multiple layers of this vinyl material I've been playing with, beautifully.  The other day I received the foam cord from Sailrite and tried making some welting.  I have tried everything I can think of, but it seems like the presser foot has too much pressure on it.  The material with the cord simply won't advance through the machine either forward or reverse.  I've tried adjusting foot pressure from one end to the other, replaced the needle, adjusted the feed dog -even though it looked fine.  I'm at a loss.  It looks like the foot is so tight the dogs can't move the material with the cord.

Help?

Hi Floyd, What type of vinyl is it that you are covering the piping cord with? I assume you are using the tunnel under the foot to the left of the center needle position. Please email me at matt@sailrite.com and I will start a case for you. I think I should send you a video on the height setting of the feet to make sure that the adjustment is set properly. If the walking foot is lifting too high, the center presser foot might not be lifting enough during feeding to allow the material to advance. You can test this failry easily by just loosening the screw that holds the walking foot and letting it drop an 1/8" or so before tightening the screw down again. Thanks, Matt
