Hi Matt,

Question about increasing the life of marine American/Ensign flags by reducing fraying on the fly edge. I've seen on some UK websites offer a mesh to sew over the end of the flag. I don't see it on your site. Have you seen this netting or do you carry it? Do you think it would be worth pursuing? I tried adding insignia fabric in red and white to the holes at the end to patch but it seems that the insignia fabric is a bit heavy and so it is tearing around the edges of the patches. I can also try just re-hemming the fly edge but that only gets you so far. Just bite the bullet and buy more flags!?

Thanks,
Annette Baker

I have not seen the mesh you are talking about. We have the same issues with flags and I assume everyone does. They simply don't last long. Re-hemming the fly edge is really the best thing to do up to required replacement.
Best Regards,

Roger. I was afraid that would be your answer!
Here's a link to the anti-fray netting in case you are curious.

PS Enjoying the new catalog and your new fabric selections.
