Iam having an issue with my Sailrite 111, sews great no stitch skipping, tenara thread, # 16 needle, #6 stitch length, bobbin tension is as loose as it will work and top tension is the same, if I sew a length of Sunbrella canvas 36 inches long I will lose an inch of fabric and it appears my bottom piece of fabric is slightly puckering. I have had this machine about a year, and have used it a bunch. this has just become an issue and fear something has slipped.

Hi Herbert,

It is normal to get some fabric puckering when sewing Sunbrella. I generally assume I will lose about 2 inches per 10 feet of fabric sewn. It sounds like you might be losing more. We have done a printed book for the Fabricator machine which is essentially the same as the old 111. It has great info on checking/setting the walking feet and needle feed on the machine. Check out this PDF: http://www.sailrite.com/PDF/2016_Fabricator_Guidebook.pdf
Best Regards,
