I plan on replacing the curtains that are currently in our motor yacht.  They are currently lined and the material has disintegrated.  Do I need to line the new curtains or is there a material that can be used that will look good inside and handle the elements on the verso?  Also I want the boat to look good from the outside when the curtains are closed.

Hi Alice,
If you want the curtains to appear white from the outside use Sunbrella Canvas furniture fabric in white (57003-0000) as a liner. You can use any other Sunbrella furniture/upholstery fabric for the more decorative visible inner surface. Use of Sunbrella will guarantee long life in a boat.

Best Regards,
Matt Grant
