I wanted to put a man-door in a winter cover, and a curved zipper will work best. The way it will be designed will have the slider down next to the boat toe-rail when closed. It appears that only metal sliders are available for coil zippers - and I am wondering "Why?" I don't like the idea of a metal slider banging around on the toe rail during windy winter storms. I will probably make a little cover for it in the "closed" position, but I am curious as to why coil zippers do not have a Vislon slider option. Anyone know?
