Hi, I'm in the process of making drop down enclosure curtains for a down east style fishing boat with a hard top. I am planning on using either flanged awning track or flex a rail. They will be mounted vertically with the flange running port to starboard across the aft edge of the hard top. Would you recommend flanged awning track for this application due to the downward angle? How is the best way to mount this track? Will the plastic track hold up well? Thanks, John

The flanged track is much stronger so it is my definite preference. Also the flange is large enough to get a secure install. Installation should be with screws.

The plastic will hold up very well.
